Family Only Elopement

M & D decided to elope shortly after they were engaged. They didn’t want a big wedding and only wanted close family to attend. M & D wanted to focus on them, blending their families and being with each other.

M & D already had selected the Alderfer Barn in Evergreen, Colorado selected to recite their vows but they wanted help selecting the best time. After scouting the location I suggested 4pm because the lighting was perfect and would allow us to be there at sunset.

The ceremony consisted of reading their vows and exchanging rings in front of their family. It was wonderful because M & D kissed after reading their vows and after exchanging their rings. When no one is officiating, you can make your own rules!

After their ceremony we took lots of portraits with different combinations of family members. Everyone was in good spirits and wanted many photos. Most were posed smiling, but some of them were candid in the moment photos of everyone having a great time!

Once we finished with the full extended family photos, everyone but M, D and their kids went to the reception dinner. We took off further down the park’s trails for family and couple portraits.
